It was built on the former Rayzor Ranch, a Denton County family homestead, by Republic Property Group, with groundbreaking in 2000 and the first residents moving in during 2001. Today it is home to about 10,800 people (2020 census) across more than a dozen neighborhoods, with a private golf club, multiple pools, miles of trails and Denton ISD schools right in the community.
