Oakmont Country Club Estates is one of the largest established communities in southern Denton County. It wraps around the private, 18-hole Oakmont Country Club and straddles the line between Corinth and Denton. Oakmont is really a collection of smaller neighborhoods, from 1980s homes along the fairways to newer custom builds, each with its own streets and home styles. Oakmont is our home neighborhood. We've lived here for more than two decades, so this is the inside guide we'd give a friend.
About 20 homes are listed across Oakmont's neighborhoods (a few already under contract), from about $345,000 to $1.34 million. The median list price is about $435,000, and most homes are priced between $350,000 and $625,000, at roughly $190 per square foot. Most have 3 to 4 bedrooms. Live MLS data as of October 10, 2026.
The club sits on about 170 acres of rolling North Texas land. Its 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Roger Packard with PGA senior champion Don January consulting. Beyond golf, the club offers a pool, a fitness center, four lighted tennis and pickleball courts, dining, and event space for gatherings of up to 200 guests. Oakmont is a private club operated by Invited (formerly ClubCorp).
The Oakmont perk most buyers don't know about: every home in Oakmont is part of the Oakmont Property Owners Association (POA), and POA dues include a social membership to Oakmont Country Club. That gives residents access to the clubhouse, the pool, and the tennis and pickleball courts. Golf course privileges require upgrading to a golf membership with the club.
Each section of Oakmont has its own character and price range. Here are the neighborhoods that make up the community, with typical build years based on recent listings.
| Neighborhood | City | Typical build years |
|---|---|---|
| Oakmont Estates 1, 2 and 3 | Corinth | Mid-1980s to mid-1990s |
| Fairway Estates | Corinth and Denton | Custom homes, including some of Oakmont's largest |
| Fairway Vista | Corinth | Late 1990s to early 2000s |
| Villas at the Fairway | Corinth | Late 1990s |
| The Woods | Corinth | Late 1990s |
| The Knoll | Corinth | Late 1990s |
| Windsor Ridge | Corinth | Late 1990s |
| Briar Glen | Corinth | Late 1990s |
| Eagle Pass | Corinth | Early 2000s |
| Larkspur | Corinth | 2010s |
| Braewood | Corinth and Denton | Late 1990s to early 2000s, built mainly by Pulte Homes |
| Wynstone | Denton | Early 2000s |
| Greens of Oakmont | Denton | Mid-2000s |
| Oakmont II Estates | Denton | 1999 to 2003 |
| Oakmont II | Corinth | Early 2000s |
Braewood was built mainly by Pulte Homes from the late 1990s into the early 2000s, with floor plans of 4 to 5 bedrooms. Braewood and Wynstone share the Oakmont West HOA, which manages community assets such as the neighborhood pool and enforces the deed restrictions. That HOA is in addition to the Oakmont POA.
Built from about 1999 to 2003, Oakmont II Estates is a neighborhood of single-family homes with green spaces and a quiet, welcoming feel. It has its own Oakmont II Estates HOA in addition to the Oakmont POA. Don't confuse it with Oakmont II, a separate neighborhood on the Corinth side.
Because the neighborhoods were built over three decades, Oakmont offers a wide range: starter-friendly homes in the $300,000s, family homes in the $400,000s and $500,000s, and luxury custom homes well above that.
All of Oakmont is served by Denton ISD. The neighborhood's schools are Hawk Elementary and Nelson Elementary (depending on the street), Crownover Middle School and Guyer High School. Attendance zones can change, so check the Denton ISD school locator for any address. We'll confirm it for any home you're considering.
Most of Oakmont's neighborhoods are in Corinth. Wynstone, Greens of Oakmont and Oakmont II Estates are in the city of Denton, and Braewood and Fairway Estates cross the line, with homes on both sides. Both sides share Denton ISD, but city property tax rates, utilities and city services differ. When you compare two Oakmont homes, compare the total tax rate, not just the price.
Oakmont is minutes from I-35E, so you can head north to downtown Denton, UNT and TWU, or south toward Lewisville, Carrollton and Dallas. Lewisville Lake, Corinth's parks and the shopping and dining along I-35E are all close by.
We live in Oakmont, and we know how each section compares: which streets back to the golf course, which neighborhoods carry a second HOA, and what buyers will pay for an updated home versus an original one. Both. Most of Oakmont's neighborhoods are in Corinth. Wynstone, Greens of Oakmont and Oakmont II Estates are in Denton, and Braewood and Fairway Estates have homes on both sides of the line. All share the 76210 ZIP code.
Yes, a social membership. Every Oakmont home is in the Oakmont POA, and POA dues include a social membership to Oakmont Country Club with access to the clubhouse, pool, and tennis and pickleball courts. Golf privileges require upgrading to a golf membership.
Denton ISD. Oakmont's schools are Hawk Elementary or Nelson Elementary (depending on the street), Crownover Middle School and Guyer High School.
As of October 2026, Oakmont homes are listed from about $345,000 to $1.34 million, with a median list price of about $435,000.
Every home is in the Oakmont POA, currently $325 twice a year, which includes the country club social membership. Some neighborhoods also have their own HOA with an additional fee: Braewood and Wynstone share the Oakmont West HOA, which includes a neighborhood pool, and Greens of Oakmont and Oakmont II Estates each have their own HOA. We'll pull the details for any home you're considering.
